Hello Bladers! Jacob here with the first of many Event Reports, Here to bring you all the info from the Norfolk Beyblade team’s events! The bladers! the beys! the banging tunes! the other things beginning with B! All of it will be here for y’all to read about. So without further ado, let’s get into the juicy details!
Back in August FuzzNL hosted the first Norfolk Beyblade ranked WBO event at Albion Games Cafe; a lovely little venue with equally lovely staff, if you ever find yourself on Benedicts street in Norwich and want to play some games and grab a snack I would highly recommend popping into Albion. With a grand total of 8 Bladers coming from all over the UK to compete for the coveted BX-00 Shark Edge 5-60 GF (Metal Coat: Blue), BX-35 Random Booster 4 and the BX-00 Dran Sword (Metal Coat: Blue) it was setting up to be a long day of blading.
After 27 battles between players with some epic moments, including a burst finish that sent a blade flying out of one stadium, over the top of another and across the room, the top 4 moved on to the finals. The 4 finalists, HB, FuzzNL, JacobDoesStuff and HelenaAlice, then faced off against each other for a spot in the finals with FuzzNL and JacobDoesStuff moving on to the final round. Finally after all was said and done FuzzNL beat JacobDoesStuff with 7 points to 1 in an epic final battle.
Big thanks to everyone who came along and congratulations to the top 4 for getting to the finals! Honourable mention goes out to FuzzNL for declining to take a prize due to being the organiser for the event and allowing the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place players to take a prize home as well as printing off a little custom polaroid for all 8 participants to take home as a memento of a successful first ranked event from the Norfolk Beyblade team! Also a big shout out to HelenaAlice for coming into the event as a total newbie to the beyblade scene and managing to take 3rd place with some unexpected picks.
